Abstract

“In this paper, the method to measure electrical resistance, Seebeck coefficient, and thermal resistance of thermoelectric module are proposed one measurement system. The method to measure thermal resistance is based on the energy balance principle of thermoelectric. From those results, figure of merit is then calculated. The relations of thermoelectric properties to the temperature are also investigated. The result shows that electrical resistance and Seebeck coefficient increase while the average temperature increases. On the other hand, the thermal resistance tends to decrease. Measuring figure of merit by adopting Harman approach is also conducted for comparison. The result shows that figure of merit measured by Harman approach shows higher value.”
