Abstract
“The use of website to support academic activities in education realm has been developing so that the quality website is needed. However, the website quality evaluation standard is still limited. ISO 9126 is an evaluation standard that has been acknowl-edged internationally in evaluating software in terms of software engineering. This model is considered to be a standard with valid, reliable and efficient measurement in evaluating quality of software. Academic website in its application uses a software in the form of website that can be accessed online either by lecturers or students. In this research academic website quality evaluation is conducted using ISO/IEC 9126 in Telkom University website. This evaluation is conducted to confirm whether the website meets the expectations and purposes of the users. The users in this case are the students. ISO/IEC 9126 characteristics can give a good baseline in evaluating academic website of Telkom University. The evaluation is focused on characteristics of functionality, reliability, usability and efficiency. Because the core of a website is information, in this research the content is researched as an additional characteristic out of the ISO/IEC 9126.
