Abstract
“Javanese Owa (Hyblobate Molochz) is one of ape kinds which only live in Javanese forests. They live in small groups like family such as a couple of male ape and female ape, with their one or two immature children. Javanese Owa is a faithful animal, they are monogamists. In average, female Owa give birth every three years, with 7 months of pregnancy. Their children are fed by their moms until the age of 18 months, and continue living with their family until they are 8 years old.
Javanese Owa is diurnal and arboreal animal, they live up on the trees in their lives. Fruits, leaves, and flowers are their main food, they wander the forests??? canopy in small groups by swinging on trees, depending on their agility and their arms??? strength. They weigh approximately 8 kilograms.
This species can only be found in West Java, in forests and downhill to be exact. In Mt. Slamet and West Dieng close to Pekalongan is the furthest area to the east, where you can find them. Javanese Owa is getting rare to find as the Javanese Island get denser. They can only be found at zoos, or living with humans who have vague purposes. Hylobates molochz is categorized as one of endangered primates. World conservation organization IUCN includes them in endangered species category, with 50% opportunity of extinction in one decade.
Javanese Owa who has been petted by humans, need to adapt therefore they can survive in the wild, in that case devices and products are needed to be designed for helping them adapting easier, so they will not find any difficulties when they are freed to the wild. One of the products is game facility which is operated in their spare time after meal, to prevent obesity and train their insticts as a proper Javanese Owa as well.”
