Odometer Readings Prototype for Early Warning The Replacement Vehicle Lubricants Based on Microcontroller

Abstract
Odometer is a tool to determine the distance of vehicle and is usually used as a determinant of periodic inspection of engine vehicle lubricant replacement. A company that has large quantities of vehicle, lubricant replacement vehicle inspection is tedious, because if it is not maintained on time, it can cause the damage and could endanger passengers. This system is divided into two parts. The first part is a design of a prototype which implement on a vehicle as a transmitter and the second part is a design that will implement on the garage as a receiver. These two systems were tested using several combinations of observation parameters consisting of data size (byte), angle, distance between the two systems and also the barrier. The result showed that the placement of angles smaller than 30 degree gave correct time response and data correctness in the real conditions, meanwhile, the placement of over 30 degree gave an error on the data. The transmission of 2 byte data need longer time of 1 millisecond than 1 byte data transmission. The result for the distance and obstacle parameters, time response and data validity will affected for distance more than 700 cm
