Abstract

Ubiquitous Learning (U-Learning) is an adaptation of a ubiquitous computing in the implementation of e-learning. This concept promises ease of access to the use of mobile devices, which takes place in a ubiquitous computing environment that enables learning the right thing at the right place and time in the right way. In line with the developments in technology, cloud computing is being adopted as an alternative in the management of IT infrastructure flexibility. Cloud-Based Open Learning is the concept of open access to learning resources that will be implemented in cloud environments. This concept is in line with the phenomena of Open Educational Resources (OER), which began to evolve in the world of education. Both of these concepts can not be separated from the use of information technology in its implementation. The objective of this study is to adapt the ubiquitous computing technology in the cloud environment, which is expected to support the Indonesia-Open Educational Resources (I-OER). The methodology used in this study is literature review of various studies that have been done by previous researchers and will be adapted according to the needs in the context of Indonesia. As an output of this study, u-learning on the cloud-based open learning environment architecture has been proposed, which consists of five layer: (1) Infrastructure; (2) Platform; (3) Software; (4) Ubiquitous Management; (5) Access.
