Usability Analysis of Internet Banking System Based on User???s Perception

Abstract

In addition to system functionality, other things must be considered in the design of an information system is usability problems. Many theories explained about system usability testing methods. One of them is ten usability heuristics formulated by Nielsens. This study conducted an analysis of the ten usability heuristics to an internet banking system, with a case study of Bank Mandiri. Among of internet banking in Indonesia, BCA internet banking has always received an award as the most favourite internet banking, followed by Mandiri. Therefore, this study has purpose to find out whether there are ten dimensions of usability heuristics problem in Mandiri internet banking, which makes it become the second most sought after BCA internet banking. The research method used is a descriptive study, with data collection through questionnaires to 100 respondents. Based on that survey, there are three-dimensional usability heuristics on Mandiri internet banking that is not maximum implemented.
